Deal of the Week for 08/13/2011

We’ve got another give away for this week’s special. The fine folks at Freewheel Bike are putting up a $100 gift card for us to give to one lucky listener/fan of The Wake Up Call.

Freewheel Bike

With locations on the West Bank area and along the Greenway trail in Minneapolis as well as in Eden Prairie, Freewheel Bike can handle all your biking needs, and this $100 gift card will get you some great gear, accessories or apparel.

To be eligible for the drawing, just leave us a comment to this posting telling us why you love to bike (or want to start!), between now and 12:01AM central time on Saturday, August 20. We’ll pick a winner at random using a random number generator (random.org) from all the eligible entries. Only one entry/comment per person.

Be sure to use a valid email address when leaving your comment (your email address is not made public!), so we can contact you if you win.

BONUS ENTRY! If you want a bonus chance to win, follow us on Twitter (@wakeupcallradio) and mention us in a tweet to your friends – something like “Hey, you should check out @wakeupcallradio on Saturday mornings!” Be creative! Same time frame applies, everyone that Tweets about the show will get one additional entry in the drawing.

Why I love to bike in the winter:

I can burn 1000 calories a day riding 6 miles to and from work on studded tires in a couple of inches of snow.

That means I can have that snickers bar after lunch – guilt free.

  6. Kathy says:

It was so great to hear options for children not able to bike independently, and that I could try something out before I buy!
    Thank you!

  7. Reggie says:

Gained a new appreciation for the importance of the different elements of fitting a bike to an individual–not only the “inseam” fit but also handlebar distance, and angles, etc.
