9/15/2012: Generations

We’ve explored the importance of relationships when it comes to health in the past. This week, with some help from our guests Bob Marcus and Asha Menina of Theater NOW, we talked about familial relationships, and specifically the stories passed down from previous generations strengthen those relationships.

Grandma & Grandpa

We also touched on the cathartic  aspects of experience these stories through live theater, the way so many of our ancestors did, and the power of the group experience. An experience that’s so different than the near isolation that modern TV and film seem to foster.

And for those interested in the Bova Actors Workshop mentioned during today’s show, you can find out more information about that on the Theater NOW website – and actors participating in this workshop series for the first time can get a $25 discount by mentioning The Wake Up Call or AM950 when they call to register.

The sponsor of today’s program was Tom Glaser – Licensed Psychologist.
