11/17/2012 Show Preview: Resilience

Henry EmmonsResilience is the ability to bounce back from life’s inevitable struggles, whether getting stuck in traffic or losing a loved one.  Psychiatrist Henry Emmons, author of the just-released Chemistry of Joy Workbook, pioneered a holistic Resiliency Training course that teaches students how to increase their ability to bounce back.

Dr. Emmons will explore the Seven Roots of Resilience, which help students restore mood, regain balance, and rediscover joy and are especially effective for those with anxiety and depression.   Melanie Groves, a graduate of this revolutionary eight-week program, will also join us, sharing her extraordinary journey from mental illness to joy and equanimity. You can find out more about Dr. Emmons at Partners in Resilience.

Join us this Saturday at 9AM. This week’s program is brought to you by Gizelle Erickson of the Bhakti Wellness Center.
