Healthy Lunch

We were joined in studio today by the Director of Student Nutrition Services for Hopkins Public Schools, Barb Mechura and her husband Kim to talk about the importance of healthy eating and activity is for our kids and how Hopkins Schools have made changes in their school meals program to meet those needs. We also talked about some of the challenges facing the schools and touched on how kids really will eat more vegetables if you give them the chance.

If you would like to find out more about what Hopkins Public Schools is doing for their students, visit their website at hopkinsschools.org – and if you want to share some of the good things your school is doing in their meal programs, let us know in the comments below.
