10/22/2011 – Trauma and Transformation

Today we were joined by Dr. James Finley, Ph.D. who lived as a monk at the cloistered Trappist monastery of the Abbey of Gethsemani in Kentucky. We discussed transformation in overcoming the trauma of his own childhood, and how these contemplative methods can help anyone deal with their own trauma, large or small.

Dr. Finley is working on a new book and will be visiting the Twin Cities in 2012 to lead a contemplative retreat. You can learn more about Dr. Finley by visiting his website, The Contemplative Way
